I made it to Newport, TN. 18 miles today.
The walk was very relaxing. I went through a lot of backroads with minimal traffic.
Although the dogs were small, they wouldn’t stop trying to get me. How come the smallest dogs have the biggest bite. Finally they stopped and went back home.
As I was walking across from a mom and pop market, Tony got out of his vehicle and asked me if I wanted something to drink. Absolutely. Tony told me to pick out something. I got a bottle of water. He is an interesting person. He lives in Nashville and builds steel buildings in TN, MO and VA. That is a lot of traveling.
It was really neat to be walking on these backroads and seeing the leaves on the trees changing colors. I hope to be able to see more of this.
Off to Greenville tomorrow. The map states I have 472 miles to go.
