I am spending my third night in Adrian, TX. I don’t know if it is because of the hospitality, the pies or just giving my body a little break.
Adrian, TX is the midway point on Route 66.
I am having a blast at the Fabulous 40 Motel. Ramona and her family have been more that gracious.
I have had three pieces of pie at the Midway Cafe; apple, coconut and Elvis (chocolate, banana and peanut butter). Carrie, one of the owners has also been very gracious. I had the Route 66 hamburger today. It was huge and tasty.
I am taking off in the morning on my way to Amarillo.
